installed Kaspersky Antivirus
My work computer is an HP laptop that has a dual Vista Ultimate 32 bit version on the C: drive and a second ubuntu boot on the D: drive. I installed Kaspersky Antivirus on that machine to see if it could catch any unwanted pests. Not exactly sure what to think yet, my work system is boot very slow and often hangs. To be fair, I am running a ton of applications, and I am not the only one on my domain that is having problems with outlook crashing. God forbid a virus could be causing that!
I was a little curious about its results, since the kaspersky scan results show that I have two viruses; one being my install of the webmasterradio.fm streaming video client, and the other one in some zip file I downloaded from some threat prominent website. So I kind of expected the later of the two to be found, but am still very interested in why the webmasterradio.fm client was detected as a virus.
I just logged in via remote desktop to my work system and started a full system scan, which I just realized I hadn’t done since uninstalling the Norton AV that it came with when I bought the laptop at Costco before my New Years trip to Montana. I will post the results of the scan if I find any new viruses, or any other interesting malware.
